The Time It Takes To Take The Time: A Solo Exhibition by Chris Duncan

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, September 30, 2015
T.T.I.T.T.T.T.T. or The Time It Takes To Take The Time is a solo exhibition by Chris Duncan in Copenhagen. Duncan is an Oakland-based artist who employs repetition and accumulation as a basis for experiments in visual and sound based media. Often in flux between maximal and minimal, Duncan's work is a constant balancing act of positive or negative, loud or quite, solitary or participatory and tends to lead towards questions regarding perception, experience and transcendence.

Six of the drawings where made from the passenger seat on a road- trip across the United States in 2013. As a human seismograph he sat with the paper rolled around a tube drawing one line after another, incorporating or letting every bump in the road affect the flow of lines.
