The World Photography Organization has announced it's shortlist for the professional, open, and youth categories of the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards. The photos were chosen from over 122,000 entries from 170 different countries and were selected for their high quality, originality, and modern appeal.

Calling all artists! The heist is on. In honor of the upcoming film Parker, starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez, our friends at Complex are launching a contest to see who can design the best piece of artwork that evokes the spirit of the film. From now until November 30th, you can submit your Parker-inspired artwork to the Art of the Heist contest for a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles and watch as your piece is displayed on a mural for all of Hollywood to see.

The world’s largest short film festival, TropFest 2012, is turning 20 and celebrating by bringing the festival to New York’s Bryant Park on June 23.
