A prolific illustrator from Terrassa, Conrad Roset calls "the Muses" his most personal collection, a gorgeous, impressionistic series of languishing women rendered in tender, blushing watercolors. Roset is able to capture pose, expression and emotion perfectly with simple washes of brilliant color. Roset has exhibited in the MOMA in Virginia, San Francisco's Spoke Art, and Artevistas in Barcelona. He is now a professor of illustration at the School of Design BAU. "I search the beauty the body exudes, I like drawing the female figure," says Roset, and boy, is he good at it.

A few dedicated fans have gone and had illustrator Conrad Roset's lovely ladies tattooed onto their bodies. Roset's clean linework and gestural splashes of color translate exceedingly well in their transition from paper to flesh. Now this is a tattoo trend we wouldn't mind seeing more of!

Conrad Roset is a freelance illustrator based in Barcelona. His new muses are created with watercolor splashes and spots, more gestural to the minimal lines that we had become accustomed to. Conrad is also a graduate professor of illustration at the BAU in Barcelona. He has worked for brands like Adidas, Zara, FC Barcelona, Coca-Cola among others. Editorial Norma is currently editing a book about his work.

I've always loved the work of Barcelona based illustrator, Conrad Roset. His erotic muses are ever-changing though stylistically his work is always recognizable, with their inked simplicity and rosy lips and knees. The innocence he portrays in minimal provocative poses gets me every time. His new collection of female figures, from early 2012 prove to be no different.
