Comic Con 2011: The Return of Beavis and Butthead

It has been talked about for quite some time now, but Mike Judge is bringing back the seminal 1990's cartoon, Beavis and Butthead. It is hard to find anyone over the age of 25 years old who didn't spend hours with this MTV show. At Comic Con 2011, a snippet of the new version was shown to audiences....

A large group of selected ticket holders gather at the Toy Tokyo Booth for the unveiling of "Patchwerk". A number of vinyl figures hand painted by Pushead, there's never enough for the number of fans waiting patiently, but there was something for everyone in line and the fans with the higher numbers were able to bring something home.

Mad Magazine is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and had a couple special exhibits at Comic Con 2011 to celebrate. One of the exhibits was a group of artist renditions of their infamous Spy Vs. Spy characters. Sam Flores, Sket One, and Abe Lincoln Jr. are just a few of the 30 different artists that they enlisted to work on the project.

Conan O'Brien was joking when he asked someone at Warner Brother Animation if he could have his own Superhero made. His ideas for his costume consisted of goggles, purple spandex, fishnet stockings, oxfords, and oven mits. Well, not only did he get taken serious by Warner Brothers, but also by his fans.

Adult Swim is well known for some of the funniest and most creative TV shows on television today. With a portfolio which consists of established hits like The Venture Bros, and Robot Chicken as well as new successes like Childrens Hospital, and NTSF:SD:SUV (National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego:Sport Utility Vehicle) it shouldn't be a surprise that this series of panels was by far the most hilarious experience I have ever had.

DC comics is committing an act that many would consider brand suicide. They are starting their entire comic universe from issue 1 all over. After 70 years of creating some of the most iconic superheros in the world, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash etc . . . they are rebooting the entire line of comics.
