Ai Weiwei “1/1,000,000,000” Statue by Elliott Arkin

What a nice way to wrap up the year. Artist Elliott Arkin, has created a cast marble on oak base sculpture of internationally famous Chinese artist and activist, Ai Weiwei. The sculpture, made in an edition of 100 and standing at 6" tall, is titled 1/1,000,000,000, a nod to China's population. The piece itself was made in honor of Ai's photo series in which he flips the bird at monuments like the White House and Tiananmen Square.

Steve Powers x Case Studyo “Fresh Starts Every Morning” Porcelain Sculpture

It seems as if Steve "ESPO" Powers has been doing a bunch of great projects recently, first with his Icy Signs storefront, and now a collaborative porcelain art sculpture with Case Studyo, Fresh Starts Every Morning. Referencing ESPO's Today is the first day of the rest of your life painting, now you can pretend to start everyday like its a fresh start. Or perhaps you always do that. And if you don't, this will help.

David Choe x RZA & Sandy Benefit Show @ Scion AV, LA

David Choe has teamed up with hip-hop legend and activist, RZA, for a special collaboration to benefit relief efforts for Superstorm Sandy. The collab is part of the charity exhibition, The Gift Show, being held at the Scion AV Installation space in Los Angeles opening this Saturday, December 15. There will be 10 prints, sold during the opening this Saturday. Other artists include Sage Vaughn, Mark Mothersbaugh, Blek le Rat, and others.

Horfe x Case Studyo "Snake/Gun" Porcelain Sculpture

Using his creative talents toward new mediums, Horfe recently collaborated with Case Studyo to create a limited edition white porcelain sculpture, Snake/Gun. The Parisian artist created a snake/gun with hand painted black details, each packaged in customized hand painted wooden boxes. Limited to a mere nine, these will be gone quick.

New Prints Editions from V1 Gallery, Copenhagen

In conjunction with V1 Gallery's 10 year anniversary show, Tonight We Won't Be Bored, the Copenhagen-based gallery just released a series of editions that include Todd James, Richard Colman, Anika Lori, Andrè Saraiva (Mr A), Geoff McFetridge, and HuskMItNavn (Remember My Name). To us, V1 has one of the best programs of any of the galleries we cover, and we want to say congrats on 10 years of showing great artists, and here's to 10 more!
