After Barry McGee, Steve Powers, and Todd James created the standout update of Street Market at MOCA's Art In the Streets exhibition, SF-based McGee created a commemorative poster for the event. And, as you can see, it deals with graffiti as a topic.

Earlier this year, we wrote about the standout solo show that Rene Almanza had in Mexico City. Today, we look at 4 new prints, sold in a set, that the Monterrey, Mexico artist just released, each made in an edition of 50, signed and numbered, and sized at 18.5" x 25.2".

As we noted last week, Banksy was to release a poster at this past weekend's Bristol Anarchist Bookfair, with the subject matter being about the recent Tesco riots in Bristol. Our England correspondent, Butterfly, headed to Bristol to check out the commemorative souvenir poster and the sights.

Shepard Fairey, known to make an iconic image or few, has created a new cover for the already iconic 1967 Marshall McLuhan and Quentin Fiore book, The Medium is the Massage: An Inventory of Effects. As we see it, Medium remains one of the great, important books to be published on modern culture.

In the office this morning, we have had a few contributors talk about their tools of the trade, digital cameras, and although the Canon G9 and G11 were the consensus picks, but a little digital snapper, the Leica D-LUX 5, for example, was a applauded as a nice pick-up if you had $1,400 to spare.

We just received this great historical tattoo book, Nordic Tattooing: Nordic Tattooists & Their Drawings book today in the Juxtapoz office, and its one of the better layed out, region specific tattoo books we have seen this year. It covers, from 1895 and among other things, the oldest tattoo shop in the world, 17 Nyhavn.

There is always a good story associated with a Banksy project, and the Bristol artist has just released a new print for the Bristol Anarchist Bookfair that occurs this Saturday, May 7, 2011. All proceeds for the print go to the Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft and associates.

There was a big buzz a few months back when Oxford, England supergroup Radiohead announced their 8th LP, The King of Limbs. The music portion was exciting, but for we art and design nerds, it was the Stanley Donwood and Radiohead special "Newspaper Album" packaging that was slated for release June 1, 2011.

In an effort to raise funds and help influential LA graffiti artist REVOK pay his legal fees after being sentenced to 180 days in an LA County jail for previous vandalism charges and "not paying sufficient restitution to his victims," SEVER has designed this t-shirt now being sold through The Seventh Letter.
