Juxtapoz is proud to announce the newest addition to our ongoing book series with Gingko Press, "Juxtapoz Psychedelic." The book serves as both a story of our magazine's origins and current state, with Psychedelic Art once again emerging as a fascinating and endlessly experimental genre. From classic names such as Alex Grey and Keiichi Tanaami to a new generation of universe expanders in Killian Eng and cover artist Andy Gillmore, Juxtapoz Psychedelic is one for the visionaries.

One of our favorite purchases from the weekend at the LA Art Book Fair was a copy of Picture Box Inc's (in conjunction with ForYourArt) wonderful book, "In the Good Name of the Company: Artworks and ephemera produced by or in tandem with the Colby Printing Company." Long an iconic visual look of Southern California that has traveled the globe, we have long admired the history of the Colby brand, and have wanted to see a nice comprehensive history of its aesthetic. And now there is one...

Ben Eine, who is famed for traveling the world with his signature style of block letter street art proclamations and is in the personal collection of the White House, will open a new solo show, "Heartfelt," at Judith Charles Gallery in NYC this week, February 5, 2014. The British artist will also be presenting a series of limited edition prints to coincide with the new series of paintings.

In our current February 2014 issue of our print edition, Juxtapoz traveled to Seattle to visit the new headquarters and studio of Ebbets Field Flannels. A little background: Ebbets has spent the past 25 plus years authentically reproduced some of the great sports apparel that long ceased to exist in America. In recent years, through headwear, jerseys, jackets, and a new found wave of collaboration with brands like J. Crew and PF Flyers, Ebbets Field Flannels is the definition of Made in USA craftsmanship and community.

We can't believe this book release slipped through our grasp last year, as one of our favorite art series of the past few years is Michael Dumontier and Neil Farber's "Animals With Sharpies." Drawn & Quarterly, a great Montreal-based publisher, released the series in book form last year. As the press release states, each painting depicts "an animal holding a sharpie, ostensibly writing a message. These messages are varied in nature: they are political and religious tracts, confessions, recipes, arithmetic problems and more..."

We have been covering REVOK in Juxtapoz for years, both in print and online, and have loved seeing the evolution of his work as the longtime Los Angeles-based artist moved to Detroit a few years back. The result has been a fascinating and growing collection of 3D collages of found materials. Revok's new book, "Made In Detroit," will be celebrating at MOCA on January 4, 2014 with a book signing event.

T. Adler Books in Santa Barbara makes and designs some of the nicest books around, with a subtle look that makes each topic fit into a larger project that is connected through the publisher's aesthetic. California Surfing and Climbing in the Fifties is the publisher's newest release, with "the photographs in this volume include images of legendary surfers such as Joe Quigg, Tom Zahn, Dale Velzy and Renny Yater, in locations such as Rincon, Malibu, South Bay, Laguna and San Onofre...

Keeping with some last minute, "I'm in Paris," looking for holiday ideas, Steven Harrington has created a capsule collection with colette that features some clever postcard designs, a candle, and a few lighters. We need a few lighters actually... how else do you light your scented candles to get in the holiday mood?
