A graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, we are enjoying these deconstructed portraits from Colin Chillag. At some points complete, and at times appearing to be in process, Chillag constructs these pieces like passing memories, where certain details remain but others fleeting.

Colin Chillag's finished/unfinished works add an interesting element to the imagined final touches of a piece. While sometimes leaving the negative, un-worked space, Chillag creates a balance in the void, allowing the working process to have a presence and ultimately pushing the boundaries of what defines 'complete.'
