So we went to Coachella and forgot to post our photos like we were supposed to. Well, sue us. Without further ado... The Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival raged for two straight weekends this year in the California desert, taking on a different format but no less fantastic to experience. Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine made it to what was the GD outdoor sweat lodge of Weekend 2 amid blazing heats—the typical temps that bounced back from quite the opposite over Weekend 1.

A weekend away to the desert mid-April for music, lil sun in the skin, art installs, and VIPs of all kinds geared me up for the 2011 spring and summer music season. This particular inaugural event being Coachella. Note: Indian garb and hippy chic top the list of 2011 music fest looks du jour. Also, apparently, sea captains, which, in the middle of the desert ... got me. Photos after the jump . . .

A lot of people are bummed that Coachella sold out and they can't see Kanye, Lauryn Hill, and Kings of Leon (er, maybe not) at this year's festival. But Coachella is pushing their Coachella Conversations, and we enjoyed hearing the conversing of 2x Coachella artist DJ Z-Trip (friend of Juxtapoz and DJ of our Seventh Letter Issue release party) and Shepard Fairey.
