Juxtapoz // Thursday, April 22, 2010
I met Chris about 10 years ago skating in San Francisco and have been friends with him since. We’ve worked together on some fun projects and been general supporters and good natured hecklers of each other’s work. Over the years I’ve seen him do some great projects, make some wonderful artwork and push his limits in his art and skating.

WeSC (WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy) is a street fashion brand founded by a group of avid skate and snowboarders. A vital component of WeSC are their Weactivists. According to their website, “A Weactivist is someone that is extremely good at what they do, world famous or totally unknown. Someone that has a ‘streetwise’ mentality, that chooses his or her own path with a humble persona.” Hence, WeSC’s upcoming art exhibit. After nearly a year of crafting, painting, sketching, gluing and dreaming, WeSC's Weactivist art exhibition, WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy, will open March 1st at Robert Berman gallery in Los Angeles. Curated by Weactivist Alex Prager, this is a beautiful chance to see the Superlative Conspiracy at work! WeSC family and WeActivists, Sage Vaughn, Alex Prager, Chris Pastras, Jason Lee, Mercedes Helnwein, Beth Riesgraf, Clint Peterson, Chad Robertson, Par Stromberg and Marcel Struwer, will be present at the opening reception, along with DJ Horseface, otherwise known as WeSC CEO and co-founder, Greger Hagelin.
