Tonight, November 10, at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, London-based fine artist Chloe Early opens a new body of work, entitled Rainbow Ruins. The work is based on a chromatic meditation on the lush contrasts of nature and technology. On the occasion of Early's return to the US, we sat down for a brief conversation before her show opens.

On Saturday, November 10, Corey Helford Gallery is pleased to present Rainbow Ruins, a new solo exhibition of oil and watercolor paintings by artist Chloe Early. The paintings of Rainbow Ruins are a chromatic meditation on the lush contrasts of nature and technology. Not only are we excited about the show, but Chloe is kicking off a new feature in our magazine, beginning with the January 2013 issue. Stay tuned.

We haven't checked in with one of our favorite painters, Chloe Early, in almost a year, and we loved the series of paintings she had at Joshua Liner Gallery last Fall. Taking a surreal approach, with figurative elements interchanged with color abstractions and dreamlike visions, Early's paintings take you on a stream of consciousness journey. 

We have long been admirers of Chloe Early's work, but some of the new works in her newest solo show, Feathers and Wax (opening at Joshua Liner Gallery in NYC on Thursday, October 20) are particularly impressive. Her paintings on aluminum panels are elegant, fleeting, with a nostalgic, romantic atmosphere.
