When we think of Other’s work we associate it with trains because it’s where we first saw his monikers and they have always stood out amongst the hoards of other doodles. This new piece by him in Chicago is not on a train, but is of a train. The Canadian artist beautifully painted an old steam engine towing a small log cabin and a multi-colored head in an undisclosed location.

This is the magnificent outcome of a five-alarm warehouse fire in Chicago that was extinguished in freezing temperatures. Two-hundred firefighters battled the fierce fire and the water sprayed apparently froze over instantly. Real life ice wonderland!

As we prepare a larger look at Ryan Travis Christian's work in the print magazine, the Chicago-based artist just opened a new solo exhibition, The Second Banana, at Guerrero Gallery in San Francisco. We think of Christian's work as a psychedelic trip animated by an artist in the 1930s. It just has that vintage feel to it. Maybe that is why we like it so much.

Con Leche is the brainchild of 20 year old photographer Nancy Reyes. Delicate and romantic, Reyes' beautiful reclining nudes come to us as hazy dream-like visions, dappled in the softness of natural light and film grain. Reyes is based in Chicago and attends Columbia College.
