Kitty Cat Kindergarten

Street Art // Friday, August 23, 2013
With a mouth as an entrance, a tale as a slide and two circular windows for eyes, this kitty-cat-kindergarten is truly a one of a kind educational experience for children in Wolfartsweie, Germany. Designed by artist Tomi Ungerer and architect Ayla-Suzan Yöndel, the cuddly kindergarten structure holds 100 children and has multiple classrooms, a coatroom, a dining room, a kitchen and the paws serve as indoor playrooms. We are slightly jealous and how come Japan wasn’t the first to be doing this? Cat cafes but no cat schools?

Cat Mural in Hamburg, Germany

Street Art // Thursday, August 16, 2012
We recently stumbled on photographs of this massive cat mural located in Hamburg, Germany. The problem is, we do not know who is responsible for this work. After some significant time searching the web we came up empty handed. It looks like it has been a while since it was painted due to its muted colors and weathered look. Anyone know who the artist is?

Cat Drawn in Chalk

Street Art // Tuesday, April 10, 2012
It’s obvious we love all things cats.  We don’t discriminate against dogs, however the feline image is more appealing to us.   This image of a cat was created by a 20-year old artist from Russia named Rustam Vallev.   Valley creates a variety of photo-realistic chalk renderings, however this is the one that caught our eye.

Tupac Cat Video by Alex Pardee x Zerofriends

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, May 17, 2011
As created by Alex Pardee and Zerofriends, “Moments before Tupac Shakur’s death, he called upon an ancient Voodoo spell to transfer his soul into a cat. For 15 years following his death, this cat was trapped in the pound. Now he has finally been released and is back in the hood.” Video after the jump.
