We announced this week on the site that Juxtapoz was lucky to be invited to participate in what will be a fantastic public art and exhibition in Chicago during Lollapolooza. Shepard Fairey has curated a "Art Alliance: The Provocateurs" in Chicago from July 31—August 4, 2014, featuring a fantastic roster of artists from all mediums and eras. Today, we look at one participating artist, fine artist and 2x Juxtapoz cover artist, and part of the Juxtapoz 20th Anniversary show in NYC, Camille Rose Garcia.

And finally, the art. We are so proud of all the artwork that is on exhibit in "Art Truancy: Celebrating 20 Years of Juxtapoz Magazine," open at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC through June 14, 2014. It blows our mind that we are now two decades old, but what is even more amazing are all the artists that have been in our pages over those years. Their works tell the story, create the chance to document alternative art narratives, bring out the fans, bring out the collectors, and keep the creative energy of Juxtapoz alive. Here, then, is all the art in "Art Truancy."

As you may already know, or maybe you were there, but Juxtapoz celebrated a special 20th birthday exhibition, "Art Truancy: Celebrating 20 Years of Juxtapoz Magazine" at Jonathan LeVine Gallery this past week in NYC. We were excited to see old friends, new friends, artists, curators, editors, and anyone and everyone who has contributed or supported the magazine over the past two decades. We had two wild nights of openings and parties, and with the gracious support of the entire Jonathan LeVine Gallery staff, Converse, Liquitex, and all our friends, here is a look at the people who came out and celebrated.

Juxtapoz was again, for the third year, at the annual Outside Lands Music and Art Festival held in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, where we curated the art portion of the event. Mike Shine, Dennis McNett, and Camille Rose Garcia all created fantastic site-specific installations! Some of the weekend's acts stopped by to say hi and we met up with Jurrasic 5, Foals, Surfer Blood, Cherub, Atlas Genius, Milo Greene, The Head and the Heart, Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, Dillon Francis, and more to talk album artwork, music videos, Paul McCartney not breaking a sweat, and the fog.
