San Francisco-based Brett Amory will be opening a new solo show, Dark Light, at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC this Friday, June 30. Shaun Roberts, who has contributed to the magazine in the past, stopped by Amory's studio and sees what the artist has prepared for this show.

Our Juxtapoz contributor Shaun Roberts caught up with Brett Amory as he was preparing to ship work out to London for his exhibition at Lazarides' The Outsiders space. The exhibition, Intentional Abstractions, opens January 13th, 2011. Shaun also shot a video of the studio visit. Watch and look after the jump . . .

Another good way to end the year. Thinkspace Gallery has shown a strong program this year in Culver City, and we close 2010's Back Talks with Seth Armstrong, who is showing with Adam Caldwell and Brett Amory in There It Is, opening at Thinkspace next Saturday night, January 8, 2011. Feels good to write 2011. Back Talk after the jump . . .

We continue our Back Talks in conjunction with Thinkspace Gallery's upcoming There It Is exhibition featuring the work of Adam Caldwell, Seth Armstrong, and Brett Amory. Today, we speak with increasingly popular fine artist Brett Amory, who continues to have strong showings in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Back Talk after the jump . . .

We appreciate an artist who takes the Back Talk and just goes for it. Adam Caldwell goes for it. We are hoping the work at his show in Thinkspace Gallery, opening January 8, 2011, will also feature work that goes for it. The show, There It Is, features the work of Caldwell, Brett Amory, and Seth Armstrong. Read about Caldwell after the jump . . .
