New Book Release: Vhils

One of our favorite contemporary artists, Lisbon-based Vhils, just released a new monograph with Gestalten that we just receieved in the office yesterday. The monograph Vhils is the most extensive collection of his personal and commissioned work to date, much of which is published here for the first time, with an introduction written by Wooster Collective.

Tomer Hanuka Limited Edition "Overkill" Book

A few months ago, we announced the release of NYC-based illustrator Tomer Hanuka's new book, Overkill. Today, Upper Playground and Gingko Press have released a limited edition version of Hanuka' book, featuring embossed cream slipcase and  a limited edition Giclee print on archival fine art paper, in an edition of 120.

Therefore, it makes sense that there is a new book out (published by Carpet Bombing Culture) called Banksy Myth & Legends that dissects and examines the various unsolved mysterious surrounding the UK-artist.

James Jean Book Release @ Reed Space, NYC

James Jean (cover artist of Juxtapoz' December 2010 issue) will be having a special release of his newest, Rebus, at NYC's Reed Space from 5—7pm today, October 23. It appears that Mr. Jean will be signing copies of Rebus, and the Reed Space will have other titles by Jean available in store.

New Release: Tomer Hanuka "Overkill" Book

One of the more popular comic, book cover, and fine art illustrators that we have ever covered, Tomer Hanuka, just released a new book, Overkill, featuring a collection of over 85 illustrations. As you probably know, Hanuka (the cover of our January 2008 issue) was one of the contributors to the award-winning film, Waltz With Bashir.

"What the hell are you looking at?" by Hannah Richards

We ran across Hannah Richards work, and we particularly liked this zine of hers, "What the hell are you looking at?" Her humor seamlessly blends illustration and photography into a witty collection of chuckle-worthy images that definitely made our day.
