Exceptional body painting by China-born, Tokyo-based artist who goes under the moniker of Pinpin Co. We don't often post or see a lot of body painting and art that we love, but this is some of the most innovative, stunning, and original work we have seen in quite some time.

Adelaide-based artist, Emma Hack, is a skin illustrator, photographer and sculptor. Through a combination of painting on canvas, body painting and studio-based photography, Emma's works evoke a rich array of visual narrative and magical realism. Drawn in by the exquisite designs and striking representations of animals, it is not long before there is the realization that a human form, a person, and/or an animal, is present in the work.

We have shown you the body art of Chooo-San before on the site, but we love some of the "back" work the artist has created. Although we are a little weirded out by the dude that lives in the girl's back, we appreciate some of the simpler works like you see here.

We can't get enough of these Museum Anatomy photographs and body paintings by Chadwick and Spector. The duo has documented the works of museums around the world as recreated on the human body. The incredible process results in a final outcome that is sometimes unrecognizable as a human form.

Art can be simple. You can entertain yourself for hours on the internet, finding the weird, the funny, and the bizarre, and when we came across the work of Japanese art student Chooo-San last night, we were highly entertained. Painting on her body to create an almost animated illustion, she creates fun scenarios that make her appear to be part cartoon.

Look closely and you can see it. The art duo of Chadwick & Spector have, since 1994, been working on "Museum Anatomy," a project in which they recreate paintings onto the human body. They create a final product of Chadwick, sometimes "unrecognizable as a human form, with an elaborate, detailed painting covering a portion of his body." Images after the jump . . .
