Juxtapoz // Thursday, December 20, 2012
What we wrote on January 8, 2012: Argentinian-painter Diego Gravinese creates hyperreal oil on canvas and acrylic paintings that at first we thought were a series of photographs. The works are highly detailed, capturing both mundane and bizarre scenes in photo realistic style.

Best of 2012: Ballpoint Stunner from Samuel Silva

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, December 19, 2012
Here is what we wrote at the time: Yes, that is right. This is a ballpoint pen drawing. Samuel Silva, the artist, used 8 different colors taking 30 hours to complete it. No other media. Simply 100 % ballpoint pen. Silva is Portugal-based attorney who does art as a "hobby." I don't think much more needs to be said. Just look at it.
