This morning we take a look at he work of Berlin-based artist Clemens Behr. Clemen's process "begins with space, which acts as a basis for planning." According to the artist, "the space defines the colors and shapes, as well as any fixing or mounting possibilities and the dimensions of the piece." Once he has an idea or composition visualized, he usually begins by painting cardboard and screwing together a wooden frame to fix the cardboard to.

Brazilian artist, Nunca maining “Never,” has just painted a portrait of a Berliner punk in conjunction with the Urban Spree Festival in Berlin. Germany.  The artist’s narrative work is repeatedly accompanied with strong line work and imagery. 

This morning we take a look at a series of photographs by Berlin-based, New York City-born photographer Mustafah Abdulaziz. Memory Loss was captured throughout the United States and "explores the social identification and how our ideas of self representation create instances of cultural disconnect."

This past weekend, JR continued his international series, Wrinkles of the City, at an opening in Berlin at Galerie Henrik Springmann. The show comes on the heels of JR completed numerous mural and street pieces in Berlin over the past few weeks.

This morning we take a look at the work of Frankfurt, Germany-based artist Susannah Martin. Her nude paintings are the product of her fascination with how artists throughout history have chosen to represent our interconnection with nature and how this has changed with the virtual world.

The crushed cans, candy wrappers, and empty cigarette packets in these photos are extremely detailed replicas made entirely with paper. The almost-perfect replicas are the work of Berlin-based visual artist Carly Fischer.  

The main display at Berlin-based artist Katharina Grosse's latest show is an installation of giant orbs of multi-colored PVC. In addition to the giant bouncy ball-looking pieces, Katharina has several large-scale paintings on the surrounding walls. Two Younger Women Come In And Pull Out A Table is on show until June 9 at De Pont Museum of Contemporary Art, Tilburg.

We love Asger Carlsen, and the universal "What the f@!&" moment everyone has when they first see an Asger Carlsen creation. Interviewed in our January 2013 issue, NYC-based Carlsen has taken his increasingly abstract Hester series to Berlin for an exhibition at Dittrich & Schlechtriem (formerly Pool Gallery). As everything with these works, things are not as they seem, or everything they seem. You decide.

This morning we take a look at fragmented and distorted portraits by Berlin-based painter Deenesh Ghyczy. Deenesh combines pictures from various angles and combines them into one painting as if the viewer were looking through a refracting lens or Kaleidoscope.

Using string, UV lights, and black lights, Berlin-based artist, Jeongmoon Choi creates geometrical light installations that challenge the architecture of exterior and interior spaces. This piece is located outside of her most recent gallery show at Galerie Laurent Mueller.
