We are very excited to present an early look at our forthcoming August issue, whose cover features Mexican illustrator and tattoo artist Dr Lakra. Dr Lakra melds the past with the present to expand boundaries of fine art into new and exciting directions.

“As it turned out, unfashionable and foolish to be late for the West Coast opening of Robert Williams’ Conceptual Realism show at Cal State University at Northridge last Saturday, March 20th,” reports Juxtapoz CEO Gwynned Vitello. “Hot rods and a party band marked the spot on a sprawling campus, as fans and friends ushered in early to revel in a colorful pastiche of social commentary.”

Art stars Ron English, Jason Maloney and Bigfoot beautifully bombed Jersey City this past week, representing the first stage in the Jersey City mural project. Even the mayor, Jerramiah Healy, came out for a photo op! Photographer Beau Roulette of Hurley was on hand to document the entire process.
