Well, we had to keep a secret a little longer than we wanted to, but finally today, we have been able to announce our exclusive interview and cover story with Banksy, but also get to be on the ground to preview his newest and largest project to date, Dismaland. Set inside an old public swimming pool facility in the English coastal city of Weston-super-Mare, Banksy told us that is situated for the perfect art audience. Let's take a look inside...

If you are a regular reader of Juxtapoz.com, you probably know that we often don't get the chance to write about art auctions on our site. But the editors here are constantly checking what is happening on the auction scene, and we really like some of the Lots that are up for bidding on the Artnet Urban Art Auction that is live through December 18, 2014.

This isn't the first time Brooklyn's BAST has teamed up with Marc Jacobs, but this could be the most exclusive and limited-edition releases they do. It appears that BAST and MJ have created a series where each shoe is a single edition, which makes each pair an actual functional piece of fine art.

During Art Basel one of the most talked about events and certainly one of our favorites was the Deluxx Fluxx arcade by Faile and Bast. For this special pop-up event, these three artists re-programmed vintage arcade games and pinball machines into sculptural works of art, as well as created an entire black light room with glowing posters and football tables to play. If you didn’t get a chance to see it in person, this video will give you some perspective on how the space was constructed and the ideas behind the installation.

We are especially excited about the following: video games + Faile + Bast + Miami = Deluxx Fluxx! There’s a lot going on every year at Art Basel (like our party!) and it difficult to prioritize, navigate, and attend a majority of shows and parties. We have already been building our list and this event is definitly a must.

A few weeks ago, Greek artists, Alexandros Vasmoulakis and b, invited an all-star cast of artists to participate in a group exhibition entitled “Intermission” held in an industrial building in Greece. In order to redefine the nature of events that have led this planet to it’s current condition, artists Paul Insect, Bast, Rostarr and Saber, literally took an “Intermission” from current sociopolitical issues to offer new perspectives for an optimistic future. The exhibition featured all new works from each of the artists, displaying a eclectic mix of distinct, refined aesthetics.

Someone you don’t hear about much and that’s because he stays way below the radar is New York-based artist, Bast. Attention or none, it does not matter to him. He is constantly churning out new work in the studio and recently created an Instagram account where some new work has been getting posted. All this new work reminds us why he’s one of our favorites still.

Eric Firestone Gallery is pleased to announce SEAFOAM, a solo exhibition of new works by Brooklyn-based artist, Bäst, on view through July 2nd. As Bäst’s work continues to gain notoriety both on the streets and in the galleries, he remains one of the few truly anonymous artists.

Evolving stylistically over the past few years to further abstraction in collage and painting, Bast’s work is engaging as ever. Here is a selection of posters that have been recently spotted in the streets of New York.

Various designed posters from Brooklyn artist, Bast, have been popping up in different neighborhoods of New York. Many of these new pieces are highly abstract and display a series of new unique imagery from the artist. Most common are the manipulated faces which we favor most!
