Japanese art duo, Kami & Sasu, collectively known as HITOTZUKI, were painting murals in Melbourne, Australia coinciding with an exhibition at Backwoods Gallery and had this nice video shot of their experience. Part of the original Barnstormers group that went to Cameron, North Carolina, Kami & Sasu presented Omni in November of 2010. Video after the jump . . .

One of our finest covers was done by David Ellis back in March 2007. Add the fact that Ellis was the centerpiece of our December 2009 Barnstormers issue, and we consider him to be one of the leading contemporary artists that we have ever covered. He will showing new works at New Image Art starting this Saturday, February 5. More after the jump . . .

Earlier this week, a gala party was held in downtown Toronto for José Parlá to celebrate the reveal of two massive public art murals he painted as a commission for Concord CityPlace. Simon Cole of Show & Tell Gallery just passed us along the information, and as you can see, the murals are massive in the signature style that Parlá continues to champion. More images after the jump . . .

December 2009 cover artist of our very special Barnstormers issue, José Parlá, has a (much-needed) book out now. Wall, Diaries, and Paintings is available now through Hatje Cantz Verlag, and it is edited by Bryce Wolkowitz, whose Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery in New York will showing Parlá on March 3, 2011. Big cover after the jump . . .
