Austrian artist Erwin Wurm punches, crushes, and kicks clay models of known and unknown buildings. The pieces, part of an exhibition entitled Wittgensteinian Wittgensteinian Grammar of Physical Education at Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac in France, are then cast in bronze, acrylic, and polyester and some are even coated in sliver or gold-plating.

Conceptualized by Austrian artist, André Hellerin and holistic practitioner, Peter Mandelin in 1995, “Crystalsoscope” is the largest kaleidoscope in the world. The large sureal structure also serves as a fountain and is located near Innsbruck, Austria.

DE ES was born in 1942 in Gresten, Lower Austria, as Dieter Schwertberger. He studied the painting technique of the Old Masters in Vienna and is an independent artist since 1962. DE ES lived three years in Switzerland and twelve years in New York City. The painter is using the artist name DE ES since 1972. He lives again in Vienna since 1986.

Michael Birnstingl is an artist and graphic designer based in Graz, Austria. He works predominately in color pencil to create works inspired by the fantastical, surreal and dream-like. He specializes in strange juxtapositions of bodily, natural and manmade worlds in electrifying color. Birnstingl is also interested in cartooning and portraiture.

We are devout Raymond Pettibon fans. His combined use of mark making, text, and a signature comic-book style is the best of its kind. On view at Georg Kargl's BOX exhibition space in Vienna are some of Pettibon's earlier works from the 1980s. If we were in Vienna right now, we would be drooling over some of these drawings. Austrian artist Erwin Wurm, probably one of the most innovative contemporary artists we can think of that can seemlessly involve conceptual, sculptural, installation, and mixed media works all into one piece, is set to revisit and showcase his late 1990's project, One Minute Sculptures, at Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool, England.

Austrian-based dissection artist, Nychos, recently painted this lengthy sectioned crocodile with a skeleton in its intestines somewhere on a building in Vitry, France. His work is getting cleaner and more distinct with each new piece, a natural progression for someone who produces such a high volume of work. This mural is one of our favorite yet!

We thought this would be a good way for you to start your morning. This is a the Street Chandelier, created by Austrian artist Werner Reiterer. It appears the artist was putting these up in 2006, but we can't seem to find the date on this more street version of the Street Chandelier. Our neighborhood where the Juxtapoz office is could use this.
