Bold, big and dripping in chrome. One of the exterior walls of the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center now loudly displays the letters of local graffiti writer, Hense’s name backwards. Atlanta has had a number of issues regarding public murals and what’s deemed appropriate in the last year, so it’s nice to see a contemporary institution support the work of a graffiti writer.

T. Dylan Moore is a young illustrator from Atlanta, GA. He studied Illustration and Drawing at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is utterly in love with concept, texture, color, and selective abstraction. Love the selection of portraits from Moonrise Kingdom, Beasts of the Southern Wild and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

We came across these new vibrant works of ink by the great Charles Chatov out at Only You Tattoo in Atlanta, Ga. With a strong, bold approach  with color and a near traditional aesthetic, Chatov is another talented artist to keep on your radar.

Atlanta-based artist and member of the Msk crew, Alex Brewer also known as Hense, will be having a solo exhibition entitled “Spray” at the Sandra Hudson Gallery.  The show will feature new paintings and works on paper and wood, inspired by recent works in public space. The opening reception is from 7 – 9 p.m., September 14, 2012 and will run through October 20, 2012.

Hannibal Matthews has shot some of our favorite tatted celebs including Wiz Khalifa, Birdman, and Young Jeezy. Hannibal s a self taught photographer based in Atlanta, GA and has been a man behind the lens since 2006.

Sexy renderings of scantily clad, costumed vixens from Atlanta, GA based artist and illustrator Keith P. Rein. You can't really go wrong with simplicity in illustration, wood-grain backgrounds, a gorgeous female figure, nudity, some donuts and a head-dress, am I right or am I right??

Looking forward to this one. The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) is set to host Skate It or Hang It?! The Evolution of Skateboard Art, an exhibition examining the visual aspects skateboarding, centering heavily on skateboard graphics. The show opens on June 16, 2012. We even seen a graphic of our June 2012 cover artist, Don Pendleton...
