A really time-intensive project by Brazilian artist, Vik Muniz, where he has taken old magazines and meticulously rearranged the torn pieces to create the perfect figurative elements and color balance of some of world's most famous paintings.

Athens-based documentary photographer Anna Pantelia composed a series of photos by recycling photos of urban landscapes by combining them with portraits. She titled the series Recycle because the project takes something useless and converts it into something useful.

Since the late 90s, Angelo Plessas’ work has been strongly reflecting and mastering the language of the Internet through the creation of websites as artworks. Gagosian Gallery will be starting off 2012 with quite a bang, exhibiting “Damien Hirst: The Complete Spot Paintings 1986-2011” across all 11 of their spaces in New York, London, Paris, Los Angeles, Rome, Athens, Geneva, and Hong Kong. This is the first time Gagosian has dedicated all locations at once to a body of work by one artist.
