Opening: Rammellzee "The Equation: The Letter Racers" @ Suzanne Geiss Company, NYC

Juxtapoz // Thursday, March 08, 2012
One of the most fascinating artists to come out of the hip-hop and graffiti movements in the 1980s, as well as the highlight of MOCA's 2011 Art In the Streets and our issue done in conjunction was the late Rammellzee, a true visual and musical pioneer. Starting tonight, March 8, the artist's The Letter Racers sculptures will be on view in NYC for the first time, at the Suzanne Geiss Company. Do the Armory, then do this.

We went to visit Sonnenberg at famed SF photo epicenter, Hamburger Eyes, as she printed her final photos for her solo show at FIFTY24SF Gallery, My So Called Life.

Off The Wall TV: Mister Cartoon at Art in the Streets Video

Tattoo // Monday, July 25, 2011
One of Los Angeles biggest names, Mister Cartoon, who brought a mix of graffiti, muralist, and tattoo work to MOCA's Art In the Streets, was captured by Off the Wall TV for this nice profile on the artist. We love the Ice Cream Truck, a big part of our 15th Anniversary Show in Los Angeles was based around that icon.

Art In the Streets Not Heading to Brooklyn Museum?

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, June 22, 2011
We added the question mark because we feel nothing is final, but it looks like the major graffiti and street art examination, Art In the Streets, currently at Los Angeles' MOCA, will not be heading to the Brooklyn Museum next, as previously planned.
