SelgasCano Arquitectos, a Madrid-based Architecture firm, designed this very serene looking office space under the trees. The transparent half of the structure is covered with a bent sheet of Plexiglas. The opposite side is closed-in with translucent fiberglass and polyester to allow for the shadows of the trees to project through the surface.

Two of our favorite artists and veterans of the print magazine, LA-based Chris Johanson and Johanna Jackson, just finished installing a new commission of custom furnishings on the Lindbrook Terrace at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. For the past year, we have been following famed artist Leo Villareal project to light up the Bay Bridge, the large suspension bridge that connects Oakland to San Francisco, California. He had proposed an LED light installation consisting of 25,000 white LEDs, spaced a foot apart for the west span of the bridge. On March 5, 2013, this will become a reality. The lights will have the function of changing, making abstract patterns based loosely on water, traffic, and weather patterns.

A simple design can help reshape the infrastructure of a city, and in Sarajevo, a stunning looping bridge was recently designed by three Bosnian design students and completed outside the Academy of Fine Arts. The students, Adnan Alagi?, Bojan Kanli? and Amila Hrusti?, won a competition to design the bridge over 5 years ago, and just recently saw their design come to fruition. The bridge is called Festina Lente, which means "make haste, slowly" in Latin.

The world's largest basket happens to be the headquarters of Longaberger, you guessed it, a manufacturer of baskets and other craft goods. The building, standing 7 stories tall, is quite handy unto itself: the "handles" apparently wick away snow in the winter. Not sure how, but hey, it snows a lot in Newark, Ohio.

You know where we stand on this issue, as we have been bringing video games and the architects behind them into the magazine in recent years, so we applaud the move by the MoMA Architecture and Design curators acquiring 14 video game titles, with more to come. The first grouping will be on display Museum’s Philip Johnson Galleries in March 2013.

If an artist wants to get away, might as well have his retreat in secret. HL Architecture has created the perfect setting, a "camouflaged" mirrored studio situated in Amsterdam. All your disturbances get reflected back to themselves, thus giving you a pit of privacy. Oh, who are we kidding, this just brings everyone closer to you business because you have a cool studio.
