We kick off another month with a look at our new April 2014 issue, featuring the bright, playful works of Philadelphia's Andy Rementer. Rementer has done great work for magazines we like such as the New Yorker and Apartamento in the past, and we are very excited to have his work on the cover of our April issue.

What you are going to notice over the next few months is that we are huge fans of Andy Rementer, and the works he does with Margherita Urbani are just fantastic. This particular animation was a teaser for a comic story by Rementer and Urbani that was featured in Apartamento magazine #12.

When real people won't play with you, turn to people as blocks. People Blocks is a new collaboration between Case Studyo (the makers of fine limited quantity artist "objects")and artist Andy Rementer. The limited series features four unique wooden characters entirely made and painted by hand. The individual pieces are interchangeable, allowing them to be re-assembled and stacked to create custom characters or abstract sculptures.

We love how Ship of Fools describes Andy Rementer: "Andy Rementer is a creative person from USA." That is pretty much how it should be. Simple and to the point. It explains a lot to us, at least. Mr. Rementer just opened a solo show, Going Places, at The Hague gallery, featuring a series of gouache portraits, plants and typography work.
