The March 2012 issue of Juxtapoz, featuring Andrew Schoultz on the cover, is now on newsstands and on our webstore. In a weird way, this issue began on the shores of Norway and ended in a desert in Tucson, Arizona, and found itself in the SFMoMA and in a studio in Miami, Florida. And we followed filmmaker, author, and performance artist Miranda July as she released her newest book, It Chooses You. Full preview after the jump . . .

Following our previous coverage of The Boneyard Project: Return Trip comes this new video produced by filmmaker, Jason Wawro, documenting the ideas and process behind this unique aviation art project.   Watch as artists Faile, Andrew Schoultz and Bast express their enthusiasm and frustrations with painting such unusual canvases.  We would love to see this project grow and become a fleet of painted planes!

An ambitious project involving numerous international contemporary artists and disused Military airplanes is set to make it’s debut on January 28th at the Pima Art and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona.  The Boneyard Project: Return Trip will include artists Andrew Schoultz, How & Nosm, Nunca, Retna, and Faile who will all paint their own individual airplanes, along with cockpit from Saner.  We took a trip to the desert to get you these exclusive preview photos.

By now, Andrew Schoultz is most likely ready for some Miami Beach time after painting for two weeks in a row on multiple murals.  This second wall, located just on the other side of the building to his previous one, is just as detailed and vibrant.  Someone be a team player and drop off a six pack for Andrew!

Here is a preview of what Andrew Schoultz has been up to in Miami for Primary Flight. The mural will be shown during Art Basel, December, 1-4.  Every year local and international artist’s descend on Miami to add to the countless murals that have painted from previous years events.  It’s been sometime since we have seen Schoultz paint work in an outdoor setting and it appears to be coming along great!
