Korean-born artist Amy Sol creates delicate paintings influenced by a combination of Japanese manga, folk art, and pop illustration. Using a subtle color palette to depict a whimsical world of exotic plants, animals, and ethereal females, Sol has amassed a worldwide fan base.
Now based in Las Vegas, Sol was a recent guest speaker at Sydney’s Semi Permanent art and design conference. In between speaking about her artwork and attending gallery shows, Sol took a moment to sit down with Juxtapoz and chat about her painting.
