This Saturday, October 18th, Alter Space will present Serpents of the Rainbow, an exhibition by Shiri Mordechay that marks the culmination of her 8-month residency in the gallery’s basement. In the tradition of Hieronymus Bosch, Mordechay depicts a fantastic society filled with embattled figures, animals, and natural forces. An exploration of the persona non grata, Serpents of the Rainbow, portrays a distorted utopia that both questions and refuses subjugation.
