ARTSLAM!’s 6 year anniversary took place over the weekend in San Antonio, Tx featuring artists Alex Pardee, Skinner, and L’amour Supreme. The three talented and dark themed artists collaborated on the following mural of some ass biting demons!

Alex Pardee and Dave Correia are in Salt lake City, Utah at the moment, prepping their collaborative exhibition at Blonde Grizzly Gallery. As Alex told us, "Coinciding with the festival of the dancing sun or whatever is going on in them there mountains in Utah, Dave Correia and myself will be taking over our favorite gallery in Salt Lake City." The show opens Friday, January 20.

We stopped in last week after a day in the Juxtapoz office to catch up with our good friend and former cover artist, Alex Pardee, as he was painting a mural inside the offices of SOMA-based Urban Airship. We caught up on various things happening in Alex' life, and we got him over to the Lower Haight to get some fake blood poured on his head.

Following 35 days of isolation and pure childlike mayhem, Alex Pardee and Skinner emerged from their self-imposed exile to present The Butcher Kings, a collection of 80 works completed in a dizzying 5 week span. The fruit of their hallucinatory labor is a series of weird, hilarious, and completely awesome paintings that are on display from October 6th through October 29th at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles.

Alex Pardee and Skinner have teamed up as The Butcher Kings for a collaborative show at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles opening tonight, October 6. We sent Trina Calderon to check up on the artists and found a fun house, a creative playground in which Alex and Skinner allowed themselves absolute power.

Polaroid is honoring its founder Dr. Edwin Land’s passion for the arts with the launch of the Made in Polaroid exhibit. An art show featuring more than 50 pieces created by a mix of artists, designers, photographers, actors, and musicians including James Franco, Chase Jarvis, Marylin Minter, Alex Pardee, Hilary Pecis, and Dabs Myla.
