Aldous Massie's The Tick of Approval is a series of illustrations originally created for The College of Fine Arts' (UNSW) Incubate magazine. Drawing inspiration from science fiction style illustrators like Kilian Eng, Moebius, Ralph McQuarrie, The Tick of Approval is about enduring hardship through sacrifice to reach levels of content. Massie is based in Sydney, Australia.

Aldous Massie was born in Sydney in 1988. He is an illustrator and designer who creates with a futuristic, nostalgic kind of style, with clients ranging from fashion-house Hermès to political parties such as The Australian Greens. His signature drawings appeal to our Jetson-curious mind while allowing us to reminisce about what happened to that predicted future anyways?
