Nigerian-born, Alabama-based artist Toyin Odutola received her MFA from the California College of the Arts last year and is currently celebrating her second show at Jack Shainman Gallery in NYC. Growing up in the south with no access to galleries or museums, the Internet became Odutola's ticket to people and art. Because of thiss, Odutola has been frequently updating her Tumblr, providing her fans and those interested with a look at her process, something that is traditionally hidden from those viewing art in a museum. Her exhibition, "My Country Has No Name" takes on race, nationhood, and identity and is on view through June 29th.
