Last year, when we were putting together our Hyperreal book, we loved that we got to include one of our favorite artists, Brooklyn-based Zaria Forman. Her brilliant paintings of icebergs, Greenland, Antarctica, the Maldives, and just amazing shoreline works are the types of painitings and drawings that you just want to live with and watch them being made.

Zaria Forman's amazing hyperreal works of both the ocean and various distant islands of the world are quite breathtaking. We have featured not only in a special Juxtapoz Presents video, but also in our Hyperreal book. We just found out that ArtStar partnered with Zaria Forman to "create affordable, limited edition prints of her work. Pastels to Water presents NEW images from the Maldives and Greenland series as well as Israel images." The show is exclusive to Artsy from April 1st- May 1st...

Juxtapoz Hyperreal, the newest addition to our book series, features a new generation of painters who have excelled at photorealism and hyperrealism, but have taken the mediums and injected them with new styles, techniques, ideas and individual personality. Brooklyn-based artist Zaria Forman, who is included in the book, draws large scale pastels that document Earth's shifting landscape and the effects of pregressive climate change.
