Ed Hardy's original shop, Tattoo City (now in their 3rd location) is located right in the heart of San Francisco's North Beach. A classic and iconic shop, which opened in 1974 in a former candy store, is a prime example of how far getting inked has come. Kahlil Rintye, Mary Joy, Jen Lee, Doug Hardy and Ed Hardy himself (still tattooing Fri-Mon) all have amazing freehand drawing capabilities and specialize in the pace-setting quality work that Ed's shops have always been known for.

Ink Fetish Fridays

Tattoo // Friday, June 01, 2012
Our NEW weekly tribute, praising all of the gorgeously inked women out there, and the tattooers that made it all possible. If it wasn't for their smooth, silky skin and perfectly formed figures, tattoos could never look so damn good. Don't get me wrong, I love the days of traditional ink covering the gaps between weary muscles, body hair and sea salt, but somehow it just isn't the same... LOVE.

Stoney Knows How

Tattoo // Friday, June 01, 2012
A 1981 documentary about the life of circus tattoo artist Stoney St. Claire. When he was 15 years old he joined the sideshow in the Cole Brothers Circus as a sword swallower. In 1928, when the circus was in Norfolk, Virginia, he went downtown and there he saw a tattoo shop and guy tattooing an eagle on this fellas back. He looked at the eagle and knew that he could do a better job, later he became arguably one of the greatest tattoo artists to grace this green earth.

The Work of France's Nicolas Le Borgne

Juxtapoz // Thursday, May 31, 2012
A bit of tattoo, throw in a little pop-surrealism, and solid illustration chops, and you have the work of France's Nicolas Le Borgne. We just saw on Fecal Face that Le Borgne has new paintings and drawings done, and from what we saw in 2009, we really like the artist's progress...

We love the work of Clements, and her newly built website too!
