We had meant to post this El Mac video a few weeks ago, but now we have the time to get this "Chelsea Jewel " piece up. This video captures the mural that Mac painted in NYC to coincide with his solo show that he had at Joshua Liner Gallery this past Fall. Watch the video after the jump . . .

Perhaps the film that everyone wanted to pre-judge and dismiss as part of the perceived "over-hype" of Banksy turned out to be the biggest surprise of 2010. Not only was the film entertaining, funny, and controversial, but was actually a well-made, great bit of filmmaking. It transcended typical street art and art circles and became a film that masses could enjoy. Most people we spoke to, some of the early critics, even admired Banksy's 2010 project to reimagine the art world. More after the jump . . .

We trust the opinion of Jaime Rojo & Steven Harrington of Brooklyn Street Art, and they just created a Top 10 list (everyone loves a Top 10 list) on the Huffington Post of the top street art moments of the decade. You have Blu, Banksy, Swoon, Faile, Revs, Dan Witz, and a few other mainstays on the list. More after the jump . . .

Ljubljana, Slovenia is one of the hidden gems of Europe, and now apparently it's home for really interesting street art sculptures. The Plastic Bag Monster is a project by The Miha Artnak done in November 2010, where they "collected 40.000 used plastic bags and 7.500 used plastic cups from 12 kindergartens, 21 primary schools, 4 high schools and 3 faculties from the city of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and from more than 500 people from Ljubljana." Exit Through the Gift Shop continues to have a strong year, as Banksy's film was nominated by the London Critics' Circle for the Breakthrough British Filmmaker award. Not bad for someone who came in halfway on the project (or so it seems). And on that front, Mr Banksy says the film is entirely true. More after the jump . . .

As you can tell, we really like French artist Dran on this site. There is a good spirit to the work, a good amount of humor and wit that resonates with the foundation of the magazine. Dran is a busy man at the moment, showing at "Marks & Stencils" and at Pictures on Walls in London, and he now has a new book out, I Love My World. More information after the jump . . .

While in Chelsea and Bushwick yesterday I took a few photos. Comme Des Garcons on 10th as always had a full wall, and still strictly enforce their "no in store photography" policy, cool spot though. Bushwick had a little of everything , even finding an old Faile piece and some "wild things"...

This was a bit of good news this morning: one of the best animation and timelapse artists working today, BLU, will be releasing a DVD of said animations and timelapses in the coming days or months. (We can't confirm, so we just should just say "Coming Soon . . . "). See some of BLU's greatest hits after the jump . . .

In conjunction with (and presented by) White Walls Gallery of San Francisco, HUSH’s New York City exhibition Found opens tomorrow, November 19 in NYC at Angel Orensanz Foundation For Contemporary Art. In honor, we had legendary street artist Blek le Rat ask HUSH a few questions in regards to his 25 new mixed-media works and installation he will be presenting. Interview after the jump . . .

We just saw these pictures as we were about to wrap up the day. Looks like Italian artist and muralist, Ericailcane, who has been in the San Francisco area for his solo show, "We Were Living In the Woods," at FIFTY24SF, made it up north to Bolinas, California to paint on the iconic walls on the beach.
