Over Easter weekend in the little bay town of Cala Portals in Mallorca, Spain, a group of nine artists came together to paint the interior and exterior of a large derelict cafe/ice-cream parlor set for future demolition. With a time restraint of 48 hours and access to 700 spray paint cans, this group of artists worked for two days straight painting as much as they possibly could. New mural by Escif in Moscow, Russia

Street Art // Tuesday, October 29, 2013
Assisting the Moscow government in some positive propaganda, Escif painted this giant saluting hand for an event humorously titled “The best city on the earth.” After the initial sketch was denied, the Spanish artist went with what he calls a “friendlier idea,” which was then approved by a panel. Apparently, the wall is located in close proximity to a famous bathhouse where many of the wealthy elite go to relax and as Escif puts it, “share some vodka and caviar with friends.”

Street Art // Monday, October 28, 2013
With the NYC premier of his short film opening tomorrow night at the Sunshine Cinema, Invader has declared (like many others right now) the Rotten Apple to be his current playground for installing mosaic tile works. Several new pieces have appeared high above the streets around Manhattan with various characters, our favorite starring Princess White eating an apple over a restaurant sign. A tiling of Donkey Kong has also popped up as well as Power Flower from Mario Bros. Like Banksy, Invader has started an Instagram so you can follow his "invasions" and play the street art treasure hunt game.
