Paintings by Nathalie du Pasquier

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, July 09, 2013
Nathalie du Pasquier's still life pantings depict interior spaces with a repetition of forms and a flattened three-dimensionality that reminds us simultaneously of the still life paintings of Giorgio Morandi with attention to composition and compressed space as well as the early works of Lucian Freud with distorted perspective and obsessive attention to detail responding to a perception of what it is to see the object in the real.
