After studying intercultural management and development at UNAM, Simancas has become a pillar of Mexico City's DIY self-publishing scene, working on zines, t-shirts and more. He also helps organize the Zinamigos festival, an annual zine and comic fair.

Her colorful 'Bestias' project playfully anthropomorphizes animals into semi-human hybrids, conjuring other even stranger creatures along the way. Estrada writes reviews and post comicsfor Vice Mexico and The Believer. She also manages Gatosaurio, an online shop specializing in zines, stickers, comics and other fun stuff.
