Welcome Home

Street Art // Tuesday, 10 May 2011

Los Angeles based artist and muralist Michael Alvarez created this welcoming, pudgy-faced house.  Aside from increasing property values, Alvarez also repaints photos of friends and family in a grotesque manner.  His work of everyday scenes depicts the dark side underneath in all of us. His work will be featured in the show titled "Street Cred" at the Pasadena Museum of California art opening this weekend.

Other artist featured in the exhibition include featured in the exhibition ANGST, AXIS, Chaz Bojórquez, CODAK, CRAOLA, DASH 2000, Ekundayo, EYEONE, HASTE, Paul SKEPT Kanemitsu, Alex Kizu, KOFIE, MAN ONE, MEAR ONE, Juan Carlos Muñoz Hernandez, Jose Lopez, Erick Montenegro, Nicnak, PUSH, RISK, Jeff Soto, Evan Skrederstu, RETNA, REVOK, SABER, SHANDU, Jesse Simon, SINER, and ZES.
