The Exbury Egg

This egg-like vessel located in an estuary of the River Beaulieu in the UK, is a self-sustaining, energy efficient workspace built in collaboration between PAD studio, the SPUd group and artist Stephen Turner. The workspaces intention is to be used as a laboratory to study the life of the tidal creek, as well as a collecting and collating centre with integral storage and display areas. Turner will work for a full year from this vessel with interestin exploring a more empathic relationship with nature, which reveals the precious and transcendent in everyday life.
