Hurricane Sandy’s aftermath left many cities and towns on the Eastern Seaboard inoperable or completely destroyed, many having to rebuild on their own without any government assistance. The beach communities of the Far Rockaway and Coney Island in Queens were greatly affected. A group of New Yorkers came together to help their recovery process by setting up a silent auction and fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds going to the communities. The auction will include original artwork from a variety of established artists including Faile, Swoon, Stash, Phil Frost, Tom Sachs, Greg Simpkins, Shawn Barber, Jeremy Fish, Eric Elms,  David Ellis, and many more.  The event will be held this Saturday, November 17, 2012 in New York.
