New Hyuro Mural in Atlanta Causes ControversyStreet Art // Wednesday, 22 Aug 2012
Spanish muralist, Hyuro, has stirred up emotions in an Atlanta community with her recent mural for the Living Walls Project. The talented artist was invited to participate in the event where she painted a series of women nude, then dressing, and then taking off the dress that morphs to a wolf and runs away. Due to the wall being in close proximity to a church and a mosque, some people feel it is inappropriate. The mural has created a dialogue in the community to what is art and what is not, and should it be censored.
