Living Walls 2013 - Part 3

Street Art // Friday, 16 Aug 2013

The sun now completely covered by grey clouds has given us some much desired cool down time on our third day here in Atlanta for the Living Walls Conference. After last nights block party in the Edgewood neighborhood where a large crowd congregated in front of Roti’s wall for a hazy late night of celebration in the streets, we wouldn’t be surprised if everyone had a more sluggish start than usual today. Yesterday, we checked back in on what was happening on Summer Hill where a majority of the walls being painted are. Italian artist, 2501 finished his large abstract, black, white and gold piece, dense with hundreds of small wavy lines. Artists Elian, Jaz, Freddy Sam, Matt Hafner and Laura Bell all wrapped their walls up as well. And 3ttman and Nanook continued to work on, both getting close to completion. Tonight we look forward to the lecture series part of the Where there will be five keynote speakers and an artist panel. More tomorrow! Stay tuned.
