Kenny Scharf's "Squirtz" at The Standard in New York

Street Art // Saturday, 23 Mar 2013

A blue, smiling extra wide, eight-foot sculpture of a character named “Squirtz” was recently installed in the outdoor plaza of The Standard hotel by New York artist, Kenny Scharf. A street and fine artist whose presence has remained visible on the New York streets for 30 years, describes this particular character, “He’s just one of my classic guys.” This sculpture will be on view until April 1, 2013 so go see it in person.
