The French artist who began in 2004 wheatpasting his photos in the streets of Paris, to being awarded the prestigious TED award in 2010, has opened his first major solo exhibition titled “Encrages” at Galerie Perrotin in Paris. Considering himself nether a street artist or a photographer, JR simply describes himself as an "urban artivist.”
