In 2005, Bavarian artist, Nils-Udo, created a giant Nest built of clay, bamboo stocks, and pine logs in the botanical gardens at Clemson University of South Carolina. The installation lasted for two years until the staff at the university determined the sculpturewas no longer safe and with consent from the artist was dismantled.
