Odd Nerdrum Brings "Crime and Refuge"
Odd Nerdrum has always been a bit of a controversial artist, with his classical figurative works, a teacher with a wide-range of students, and also a bit of trouble with the law in Norway over the past few years. But nonetheless, the works are haunting and moving, and his newest solo show, "Crime and Refuge," opening April 30 at Booth Gallery in NYC, will be his first in the United States since 2012. (Editor's note: Odd Nerdrum was unable to attend the opening of his exhibition because of his ban on leaving Norway due to a tax fraud case that has left the artist on the brink of jail time.)May 02, 2016
