Moira Hahn's "Night of 1000 Fire Monkeys"
“Night of 1000 Fire Monkeys” at Gregorio Escalante Gallery features Moira Hahn’s collection of exquisitely rendered anthropomorphic animal characters in a vibrant celebration of the Year of the Fire Monkey. In an East-meets-West-meets-South-of-the-Border psychedelic apparition, we find a menagerie of colorful creatures celebrating the New Year together in an abundance of dramatic situations. There are, of course, monkeys – as well as tigers, parrots, dogs, squirrels, bees, mice, and cats, among others – engaged in the fun.April 06, 2016
New Pieces by Escif in Spain
Escif was recently invited to spend couple of days in notorious Gypsy ghetto Font de la Polvora in Girona, Spain, and experience the life here. The area that was built in the 60s in order to provide home to people that didn't fit the rest of the city, quickly became known for drugs, crime and violence. Valencia-based artists notice the other side of high spirited life there, and transferred those views onto a series of wall pieces.February 05, 2016
Nuria Riaza's Ballpoint Illustrations

Not only are they exquisitely rendered with detailed, fine linework, but each piece displays the artist's very careful deliberation and composition (her grids of collected knick-knacks are a neat freak's dream). Riaza graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Politécnica in Valencia.August 27, 2015
